M. Paula Flores es maestra de Ciencias Sociales, graduada de la Universidad de Oriente, en El Salvador. Su participación como parent tutor en AmeriCorps le permitió recibir una beca para estudiar inglés en HCC en el año 2003.
Al llegar a los Estados Unidos, descubrió que los desafíos pueden convertirse en oportunidades de crecimiento. Agradece a los maestros que han influido en su camino y a su familia, especialmente a su madre, Paula Ventura, y a su hermana menor, Sarita, por su apoyo incondicional.
Su deseo es inspirar a las familias a leer y aprender juntas a través de este libro:

M. Paula Flores is a Social Sciences teacher who graduated from the University of the East in El Salvador. Her participation as a parent tutor in AmeriCorps gave her the opportunity to receive a scholarship to study English at HCC in 2003.
After moving to the United States, she learned that challenges can become opportunities for growth. She expresses her gratitude to the teachers who have inspired her journey and to her family-especially her mother, Paula Ventura, and her younger sister, Sarita-for their constant support.
Her hope is to inspire families to read and learn together through this book

Raised in Tallahassee, Florida, the author grew up surrounded by strong family values, faith traditions, and a deep awareness of history. Her life experiences span athletics, academic leadership, fraternity life, professional success, and spiritual service.
Throughout his journey, he has remained committed to honoring his ancestors’ sacrifices while building a meaningful life rooted in integrity, faith, and perseverance.
This memoir is both a personal reflection and a generational tribute. It represents his commitment to preserving history, inspiring future generations, and sharing the life lessons that shaped him.
